Role Overview

In this senior capacity, the professional drives key application security initiatives and embeds robust security measures across the software development lifecycle. The position combines hands-on technical work with strategic program ownership to help diverse engineering teams identify risks, lower vulnerabilities, and enhance overall system protection.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with product, platform, and engineering divisions to weave security seamlessly into release processes and development workflows.
Conduct threat modeling, application security assessments, and comprehensive reviews for new architectural changes, features, and services.
Deliver actionable guidance regarding vulnerability remediation, application hardening, and secure coding practices.
Optimize, evaluate, and implement application security tooling such as DAST, SAST, and Software Composition Analysis.
Embed testing and security controls directly into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
Drive vulnerability triage, prioritization, and cross-team remediation efforts.
Participate in incident investigations, root cause analyses, and long-term infrastructure security enhancements.
Create clear security standards, documentation, playbooks, and developer enablement guides.
Track and define security metrics to increase visibility, coverage, and risk mitigation.
Research emerging security technologies to adopt solutions that add value for engineering groups.
Foster secure, AI-assisted development practices and champion the responsible deployment of AI technologies.

Requirements

Professional background in Application Security, Product Security, Secure Software Development, or a related domain.
Deep familiarity with secure coding principles, application vulnerabilities, and standards like the OWASP Top 10.
Practical experience utilizing vulnerability management platforms alongside testing technologies like SAST, DAST, and SCA.
Capacity to interpret configuration files, infrastructure definitions, source code, and CI/CD pipelines.
Solid comprehension of modern developer workflows and software development practices.
Capability to embed security controls within delivery and development pipelines.
Pragmatic risk assessment abilities coupled with strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Collaborative mindset to work smoothly across security, product, and engineering teams.
Analytical, data-driven approach toward decision-making and prioritization.
Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering workflows and secure AI technology adoption.

Nice to Have

Background in API Security.
Experience securing mobile applications on both Android and iOS.
Knowledge of cloud-native platforms and modern application architectures.
Expertise in credentials security and secrets management.
Familiarity with security enablement programs, developer education initiatives, and scaling security efforts in complex environments.
