About this role
Synthesia builds an AI video platform for enterprise visual communication and skill development, trusted by a large share of the Fortune 100. This founding leadership role exists to establish the presales function from the ground up in the Austin office, reporting directly to the VP of Solutions Engineering. You will lead, hire, and develop a regional team of five to ten Solutions Engineers while staying hands-on in the highest-impact deals in the market.
In this capacity, you will define discovery, demonstration, and Proof of Concept methodologies across core product offerings like Studio, Roleplay Sessions, and Interactive Avatars. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to align team execution with revenue goals and manage pipeline forecasting. A strong candidate combines direct management background with deep domain expertise in MEDDPICC frameworks and a history of coaching technical sales professionals.
What you will do
- Hire, ramp, and develop a regional team of five to ten Solutions Engineers across various experience levels.
- Execute and reinforce core presales motions such as discovery, demos, workshops, and Proofs of Concept.
- Partner with Sales leadership on account strategy and resource high-value market opportunities.
- Own forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and performance reporting for presales involvement.
- Design and evolve demo methodologies across Studio, Roleplay Sessions, and Interactive Avatars.
- Build fluency in MEDDPICC and Command of the Message frameworks through real-world coaching.
What you need
- Experience recruiting, managing, and developing Solution Engineering presales teams.
- Track record of owning the full employee life cycle from hiring through promotions.
- Background that started as an individual contributor and evolved into solving complex problems.
- Demonstrated history of improving team performance through coaching and deal support.
- Familiarity with forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and performance reporting from a presales perspective.
- Fluency in MEDDPICC and Command of the Message methodologies.
