Role Overview

In this position, the manager leads and expands an engineering team focused on building systems that power agentic development experiences. The individual guides technical execution across agent harnesses, integrations, and developer workflows while remaining close to the code through architecture and implementation contributions. The team works to improve agent capabilities, reliability, performance, and operability as the technology landscape grows.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow software engineers within the Agentic Engineering organization, raising the technical bar and establishing clarity around priorities.
Set technical direction across agent harnesses, integrations, and workflows, partnering closely with Product and Design.
Contribute directly to architecture and implementation decisions while staying close to the code.
Evolve agent execution, tool usage, context management, streaming, and long-running processes.
Extend provider-agnostic architectures as artificial intelligence models and capabilities advance.
Enhance reliability, performance, and operability across all agentic systems.

Requirements

Professional experience managing and growing software engineering teams.
Strong hands-on coding background with Go.
Proficiency in React and TypeScript.
Practical experience building systems around large language models and agentic workflows.
Knowledge of model APIs, tool calling, context management, or agent loops.
Strong understanding of distributed systems.
Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Strong technical judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity.
Demonstrated success in helping engineers grow while maintaining high execution standards.

Nice to Have

Experience building coding agents, developer tools, or cloud development environments.
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent tools, or multi-agent systems.
Background in remote execution, sandboxing, or isolated compute environments.
Experience constructing abstractions across multiple model providers.
Deep familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, or Linux.
Open-source contributions or direct customer interaction experience.
