Key Responsibilities

Create monitoring, alerting, and reliability systems using an OpenTelemetry stack with Open Observe, CloudWatch, and PagerDuty.
Establish and protect service level indicators, objectives, and error budgets, guiding engineering focus.
Build self-healing, autoscaling, and capacity solutions that operate without manual steps.
Lead post-incident reviews for critical outages and verify lasting fixes.
Develop reusable Terraform modules and standard patterns for Amtech’s multi-account AWS environment.
Strengthen CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, adding progressive delivery capabilities.

Requirements

Proven ability to design and operate monitoring and alerting frameworks.
Experience defining SLIs/SLOs and managing error budgets.
Hands-on expertise with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Familiarity with CI/CD tooling, specifically GitHub Actions.
Ability to lead root-cause analysis and act as incident commander.
Strong communication skills for mentoring junior engineers.
