Role Overview
The Senior Staff Product Manager, Device Security at 1Password defines the strategy and roadmap for device security capabilities that help organizations govern access across their environments. This remote opportunity is open to qualified candidates located in the United States or Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Own and evolve the Device Security product roadmap while partnering with engineering leadership to determine priorities and deliver key features.
Shape the role of Device Security within 1Password Unified Access and contribute to broader cross-company product strategy.
Lead weekly, monthly, and quarterly prioritization efforts to balance near-term delivery with an 18 to 24-month product vision.
Represent the customer perspective through discovery, live demos, feedback loops, and structured artifacts like PRDs and PR/FAQs.
Collaborate closely with Product Managers across adjacent areas alongside Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Product Marketing.
Establish success metrics that connect customer outcomes and ARR contribution directly to ongoing product progress.
Engage directly with enterprise customers, including CISOs, VPs of Security, and IT leaders.
Prototype proof-of-value solutions utilizing AI-enabled developer tools to explore and effectively communicate new product ideas.
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of Product Management experience, including direct ownership of security, IAM, endpoint, or access-control products.
Proven track record of defining and delivering roadmaps for complex, cross-functional initiatives in a B2B SaaS environment.
Experience contributing to product vision and strategy across multiple engineering teams or product areas.
Strong written communication skills with demonstrated experience authoring PRDs, PR/FAQs, and alignment artifacts.
Experience defining OKRs, success metrics, and measurement frameworks tied directly to business outcomes.
Ability to clearly communicate complex security and product concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
Customer-centered prioritization approach that successfully combines qualitative insights with quantitative data.
Nice to Have
Experience with endpoint security, device management, zero-trust, or least-privilege architectures.
Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) or Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools.
Experience working with enterprise administration consoles and IT administrator personas.
Experience taking AI or machine-learning products from concept through initial launch.
Experience prototyping with AI-enabled developer tools and understanding how AI agents operate.
Familiarity with device compliance frameworks or endpoint telemetry platforms.

Salary and Benefits
For USA-based roles, the annual base salary ranges from $178,000 USD to $258,000 USD, plus immediate health and dental benefits, 401k, generous paid time off, and an equity grant.
For Canada-based roles, the annual base salary ranges from $203,000 CAD to $294,000 CAD, plus immediate health and dental benefits, RRSP, generous paid time off, and an equity grant.
