Role Overview

In this position, the professional will shape the cloud security posture by partnering closely with infrastructure, engineering, and compliance groups. The individual will design secure foundations as the company scales and explore innovative ways to integrate artificial intelligence into security operations. This role offers the flexibility to work entirely remotely or from hub locations in New York City, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Key Responsibilities

Build and strengthen the security architecture for infrastructure to support rapid growth.
Analyze relevant threats and attack vectors against applications and infrastructure, converting insights into functional safeguards.
Partner with engineering, compliance, and infrastructure teams to elevate overall cloud security.
Manage security incidents across all severity levels and join the rotating on-call schedule.
Establish defense-in-depth strategies through secure-by-default designs to close potential vulnerabilities early.
Measure and monitor key performance indicators to verify the effectiveness of the cloud security program.
Design and implement production-grade artificial intelligence agents to improve threat detection, vulnerability management, alert triage, and incident response.

Requirements

Six or more years of professional background focused on cloud security.
Extensive AWS security knowledge including IAM, AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, CloudTrail, Config, and secure service configurations.
Demonstrated expertise in Kubernetes security such as RBAC, workload identity, runtime security, secure deployments, network policies, service-to-service authentication, and admission controllers.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code principles and a holistic view of problem solving across the full lifecycle.
Practical experience building and deploying production-level artificial intelligence agents or agent-powered security tools.
Strong collaborative mindset with a focus on how security choices impact patients and colleagues.
