About this role

Role Overview

Coder is hiring a remote Senior Solutions Engineer based in the United Kingdom to join the Revenue department and partner with Account Executives on closing sales opportunities. This position is a great fit for an experienced technical professional who enjoys guiding Fortune 500 prospects through architecture discussions, platform demonstrations, and evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the technical relationship throughout pre-sales to secure technical wins with enterprise prospects.
Demonstrate the Coder platform from administrator, developer, and AI agent workflow viewpoints.
Install the Coder platform on virtual machine infrastructure or Kubernetes on-prem and in the cloud.
Execute proofs-of-concept to showcase Coder value for LLM-powered and agentic development workflows.
Develop expertise in agentic AI development, Cloud Development Environments, and business impacts.
Relay customer and prospect feedback directly to the product and engineering teams.
Document and report product features and issues utilizing Linear.
Troubleshoot Kubernetes components, networking, and Coder deployments during client evaluations.
Submit pull requests to enhance the official documentation of Coder.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of experience working as a Solutions Engineer selling developer tooling or infrastructure.
Strong communication skills focused on building trust with technical stakeholders.
Capability to connect technical hurdles directly to business value in real time.
Familiarity with agentic AI software development use cases and the ability to advocate for them.
Comfort leading deep-dive troubleshooting and architecture demonstrations.
Solid Linux fundamentals and command line proficiency.
At least three years of hands-on work with Kubernetes and Docker.
Prior background utilizing Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or AWS.
At least three years of experience using infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform.
Strong understanding of networking concepts like load balancers, proxies, and ingress controllers.
Familiarity with user and infrastructure-level AI tooling and LLM routing layers.
Execution speed typical of a startup with a player-coach mindset.

Nice to Have

Past achievements at both high-growth startups and larger software vendors.
Direct experience deploying or supporting autonomous developer tools and AI coding agents.
Background working in DevOps, CI/CD, or developer-platform products.
Experience within platform engineering or developer platform teams.
Certifications related to AWS, Kubernetes, or other relevant technologies.
