The Human Layer Powering Production AI is hiring a remote Senior Solutions Engineer in the United Kingdom to act as a technical partner for customers, sales, and delivery teams. Role Overview

This fully remote role involves leading technical discovery and turning vague business needs into concrete technical and delivery requirements. The professional in this position will shape solutions across multiple core offerings, including talent solutions, artificial intelligence solutions, and learning and assessment solutions, making it an excellent fit for someone with a strong background in customer-facing technical roles.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct technical discovery and qualification sessions with both business and technical stakeholders to identify client goals, constraints, and environments.
Design initial solution recommendations covering architecture, scope, team structures, delivery models, timelines, dependencies, and risks.
Recommend the right combination of talent solutions, AI solutions, and learning and assessment solutions for diverse client needs.
Drive technical aspects of the sales cycle, including architecture reviews, workshops, technical presentations, demos, prototypes, proposals, and RFPs.
Collaborate with delivery and specialist teams to confirm that proposed approaches are viable before making any formal commitments.
Help build internal sales engineering tools, methodologies, technical assessments, and AI-assisted qualification frameworks.
Translate field insights into reusable playbooks, technical content, and streamlined sales-to-delivery processes.
Share customer feedback with internal teams to help refine company offerings and market strategies.

Requirements

Possesses at least 6 years of relevant professional experience in roles such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, solution architecture, technical consulting, professional services, or engineering leadership.
Demonstrates strong technical fluency spanning modern software development, cloud architecture, data platforms, APIs, and AI-enabled systems.
Proven ability to lead independent technical discovery and convert vague business problems into actionable solutions.
Experienced in evaluating system architecture, technical tradeoffs, delivery risks, and dependencies.
Strong communication and storytelling capabilities suited for engaging executive business leaders and deeply technical audiences.
Cross-functional collaboration experience working alongside sales, product, engineering, and delivery departments.
Familiar with modern artificial intelligence technologies like generative AI, LLM-based applications, agents, retrieval systems, and AI-assisted software development.
Enjoys experimenting with technical tools, automation, APIs, and AI-enabled workflows with a builder mindset.
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or possesses equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

Background working with managed services, technical assessments, training and enablement, application modernization, data engineering, or enterprise technology solutions.
