Role Overview

The Senior Software Engineer, Iris AI position at Delinea involves designing, building, and operating advanced cloud services that power AI-driven security features from the Mexico City office in a hybrid model. Key Responsibilities

Build and operate scalable, highly available backend services utilizing Azure and Kubernetes across C#/.NET, Python, and Go.

Develop advanced LLM-powered features leveraging platforms like Azure AI Foundry, including model integration, context pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool calling, agents, and evaluation.

Design asynchronous, event-driven architectures across various microservices.

Take full end-to-end responsibility for delivery, which encompasses CI/CD pipelines, production incident response, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.

Partner closely with product, UX, and platform teams while actively participating in comprehensive design and code reviews.

Incorporate artificial intelligence into daily workflows by utilizing coding agents to design, write, and review code meeting rigorous production standards.

Requirements

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or possess equivalent professional experience.

Bring 8 or more years of hands-on experience designing and building production-grade backend services in C#/.NET, Python, or Go across the full software development lifecycle.

Demonstrate practical experience building products with large language models, covering inference, structured outputs, RAG, tool calling, or agents via tools like Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Anthropic API.

Show proficiency in AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor, with a strong emphasis on spec-driven development, context management, and tested output.

Possess a solid understanding of distributed systems, API design, microservices, and experience working with a major cloud provider.

Exhibit sound knowledge regarding multi-tenant SaaS architecture and the specific operational challenges of scaling applications.

Nice to Have

Experience building tools, APIs, or integrations that AI agents call, such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, plugins, or function and tool-calling interfaces.

Specialized depth in machine learning and MLOps, including model fine-tuning, evaluation harnesses, and deploying models in production.

Advanced expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.

Professional background focusing on identity security, privileged access management (PAM), or Zero Trust architectural frameworks.
