About this role

Role Overview

Breeze is currently hiring a Senior Software Engineer based in Singapore to help build and scale the core technology powering global commerce infrastructure. This full-time, hands-on role is suited for an experienced engineer with a product mindset who wants to solve complex financial challenges and shape technical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Build and scale core payment systems with a strong focus on high performance, security, and reliability.
Ship exceptional customer experiences using React.js and modern serverless infrastructure.
Take complete ownership of meaningful features from initial technical design and architecture through to launch and iteration.
Bring an engineering perspective to product decisions, actively influencing what the team builds next.
Partner closely with Product, Design, Operations, and other cross-functional groups to turn complex payment hurdles into scalable solutions.
Raise the overall engineering bar by improving development speed, build processes, and system scalability.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally gained within fintech, payments, or fast-paced startup environments.
Strong expertise in modern frontend development, including React.js or similar frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to independently own and deliver complex systems and features with high attention to detail.
Deep understanding of scalable and reliable system design, featuring exposure to cloud-based or serverless infrastructure.
Strong communication skills paired with a collaborative approach to working across different teams.
A builder mentality characterized by curiosity, adaptability, and startup ownership.
