This Senior Security Engineer role is a full-time position based out of the Bellevue office for Lambda, reporting directly to the CISO. The position suits an experienced security professional looking to protect critical infrastructure, corporate IT systems, and advanced AI training environments while balancing employee productivity.

Role Overview

As a core member of the Enterprise Security team, this professional secures Lambda's SaaS applications, corporate IT infrastructure, identity and access management systems, and endpoint ecosystems. The work centers on building secure-by-default configurations, automating access governance, and safeguarding corporate environments during rapid scale. Responsibilities include deploying robust Identity Governance and Administration, hardening SaaS tooling, automating joiner-mover-leaver workflows, and implementing zero-trust network access controls. Team members also leverage hosted LLMs to pioneer AI-driven enterprise security automation like intelligent access reviews and automated policy enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain Identity and Access Management architectures, SSO integrations, and Privileged Access Management across corporate and SaaS ecosystems.
Automate Joiner-Mover-Leaver workflows and lifecycle management to enforce least-privilege access and zero-trust principles.
Build automated access certification and review tooling to streamline compliance and governance controls.
Establish SaaS Security Posture Management and conduct security posture reviews for corporate SaaS applications such as Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Jira, and Salesforce.
Define and enforce baseline security configurations, patch management policies, and MDM/EDR security controls across corporate endpoints.
Develop custom security automation tools and scripts to eliminate manual IT and enterprise security toil.
Assess third-party vendor risks and collaborate with IT, Legal, HR, and Compliance teams to align with frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.

Requirements

5+ years of dedicated security engineering experience focused on enterprise security, corporate security, or IAM infrastructure.
Proven experience designing and scaling Identity and Access Management architectures including Okta, Entra ID, SAML/OIDC, SCIM, and PAM.
Hands-on technical expertise in securing corporate SaaS applications and managing SSPM tools.
Strong programming and scripting capabilities to build automations for identity lifecycles and security operations.
Solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture, EDR, MDM, and corporate network security.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to thrive in fast-moving, high-growth startup environments.

Nice to Have

Excitement about leveraging direct access to state-of-the-art LLMs to revolutionize enterprise security.
Experience building enterprise security and IAM programs at high-growth tech companies or cloud providers.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and HIPAA alongside audit preparation.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for managing enterprise identity and SaaS configurations.
Deep technical background allowing hands-on contribution and experience with build versus buy decisions for security tooling.
