Frontdesk AI is currently seeking a full-time Senior Product Engineer to join the team in San Francisco. This position suits an experienced developer with a background in building scalable systems who wants to shape the technical future of an AI-driven lending platform.

Role Overview

As the second engineering hire, the Senior Product Engineer works closely with the Chief Technology Officer and directly with customers to build high-impact products. The position involves designing critical features, improving the voice agent framework, onboarding new clients, and handling projects that span from real-time audio processing to customer dashboards and cloud infrastructure. Team members are expected to work in person four days a week in San Francisco.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of real-time voice processing systems.

Build scalable, fault-tolerant distributed applications.

Optimize large language model integrations to ensure natural and compliance-aware conversations.

Create internal tools designed to monitor and improve voice agents.

Develop reporting systems and customer-facing dashboards.

Collaborate with clients to translate their unique needs into technical solutions.

Define technical standards and establish engineering best practices.

Drive architectural decisions that influence the overall product trajectory.

Requirements

Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Brings two to five years of production software engineering experience.

Demonstrates a strong background in API design.

Possesses hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.

Exhibits excellent problem-solving skills and architectural thinking.

Displays strong organizational and communication abilities.

Possesses an owner mindset combined with a bias for action.

Maintains a dedicated focus on product quality and continuous learning.

Nice to Have

Previous experience working with real-time audio processing or WebRTC.

Familiarity with Golang, TypeScript, or React.

Prior involvement in prompt engineering and Large Language Model integration.

Background in DevOps and infrastructure automation.

Experience working within fintech or financial systems.
