About this role

Frontdesk AI is currently seeking a Member of Technical Staff, AI Agents to join the Socratix AI team in Mountain View or on a remote basis. This full-time position is an ideal fit for an engineer with strong systems thinking and practical LLM experience who wants to build automated solutions for financial crime detection.

Role Overview

In this role, you will help design and ship production-grade AI agents that financial institutions rely on to investigate fraud and compliance cases. As one of the early engineers on the team, you will establish the technical foundation for Socratix AI, working closely with the founders to shape product strategy and operational workflows. Your work will directly impact how agentic artificial intelligence transforms financial crime operations for banks, credit unions, and modern fintechs.

Key Responsibilities

Build end-to-end agents utilizing LLM orchestration, tool use across Model Context Protocol integrations, retrieval mechanisms, and multi-agent workflows.

Own the trust and safety layers of the platform, including evaluation harnesses, guardrails, comprehensive audit trails, and human-in-the-loop review processes.

Ship production code quickly, interact directly with customers, and experiment with frontier models to handle real-world fraud scenarios.

Collaborate with leadership to define product strategy and roadmap execution in a low-bureaucracy environment.

Requirements

Bring roughly two to four years of engineering experience, or a strong portfolio demonstrating equivalent capabilities.

Possess deep engineering fundamentals and a systems-thinking mindset to manage data flow, failure modes, latency, and scale.

Have hands-on experience shipping real-world applications using Large Language Models.

Thrive as a zero-to-one builder who embraces ambiguity and fast-paced environments.

Nice to Have

Prior work history within fast-paced startup environments.

Domain curiosity regarding fintech, fraud prevention, and high-stakes regulated AI spaces.
