Role Overview

The Senior Product Designer will help build the product language for delegating work, tracking progress, correcting behavior, and collaborating with an AI teammate inside everyday tools. Operating in a newly invented category, the professional will tackle messy problems, technical constraints, and fast-moving product bets to deliver simple and trustworthy experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Design core Viktor product surfaces spanning Slack, Microsoft Teams, the web, desktop, and mobile apps, onboarding, integrations, permissions, billing, collaboration, and admin flows.
Establish the visual standard for typography, color, spacing, and composition to ensure a premium and trustworthy feel.
Translate vague and high-stakes product challenges into clear interaction models.
Partner directly with engineers to ship quickly rather than relying on a traditional handoff process.
Prototype AI-native user experience patterns prior to industry consensus.
Enhance clarity, trust, and control during moments where artificial intelligence behavior may feel confusing.
Pay close attention to fine details including empty states, loading states, error states, edge cases, copy, spacing, and hierarchy.
Elevate the overall product taste across every touchpoint users encounter.

Requirements

Strong product taste with the ability to explain why specific user flows succeed or fail.
Exceptional visual design capabilities with a portfolio demonstrating world-class typography, color, layout, and composition.
High craft in interaction design and rigorous attention to detail.
High autonomy, requiring minimal specification to initiate movement.
Speed to transition quickly from ambiguous problems to prototypes and shipped products.
Systems thinking focused on creating reusable patterns rather than isolated screens.
Comfort working through ambiguity without mature playbooks for artificial intelligence products.
Strong engineering collaboration skills with a solid understanding of technical constraints.
A portfolio featuring real product work rather than heavily decorated case studies.

Nice to Have

Experience designing for product-led companies with exceptionally high user experience standards.
Familiarity with tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Lovable, Replit, or v0 to convert ideas into functional prototypes.
Direct opinions on artificial intelligence product user experience formed through hands-on tool usage.
A clear understanding of the distinction between polished Figma prototypes and functional user tools.
