The Senior .NET Developer, SaaS Manager at 1Password is a remote engineering role within the United States and Canada that involves building the platform IT and Security teams rely on to govern and optimize AI and SaaS ecosystems. This position suits an experienced developer who can independently tackle complex engineering challenges, champion technical excellence, and mentor team members within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Own the design and delivery of complex features end-to-end, steering projects from initial scoping through to production with a high standard of quality.
Contribute to and lead technical design discussions, write comprehensive design documents, surface risks early, and build team consensus.
Set and uphold rigorous team best practices regarding testing strategies, code quality norms, and observability standards through code reviews and hands-on involvement.
Partner closely with product managers and designers to understand customer problems, advocate for sound engineering, and make balanced tradeoffs.
Bring a practical, hands-on perspective to agentic AI tools in the daily workflow and share effective practices with teammates.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development.
Strong working knowledge of .NET, C#, and MongoDB or similar technologies.
Demonstrated ability to tackle large and complex engineering problems independently.
Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical contexts, including writing clear design docs and facilitating productive discussions.
Strong mentoring capabilities to guide less experienced developers through pair programming and code reviews.

Nice to Have

Experience evolving a legacy or growth-stage application into an enterprise-scale platform.
Comfort across a wide variety of technical stacks such as Go, Rust, TypeScript, and React, with the ability to evaluate technology on its merits and learn new languages quickly.

Salary and Benefits

For USA-based roles, the annual salary ranges from $153,000 USD to $214,000 USD. For Canada-based roles, the annual salary ranges from $144,000 CAD to $202,000 CAD. Additional compensation includes immediate participation in benefits programs covering health, dental, and retirement matching (401k or RRSP), generous paid time off, an equity grant, and incentive program participation where applicable.
