About this role

The Senior Lifecycle Marketer role at Read AI is a full-time, remote position based out of the Seattle HQ that suits an experienced growth professional ready to scale intelligent AI collaboration tools. This strategic role focuses on turning millions of new accounts into active, retained, and expanding customers through behavioral context and timely communication.

Role Overview

Read AI is looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to build the system that turns millions of new accounts into activated, retained, and expanding customers. This is not an email-production role. The professional chosen for this position will own the strategy, infrastructure, programs, experimentation, and measurement behind onboarding, activation, feature discovery, habit formation, monetization, reactivation, renewal, and expansion. Acquisition and product-led distribution are already established, providing the opportunity to use behavioral context and timely communication to get users to value sooner and make Read a core part of their daily workflow. The individual will build programs directly while partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data, Customer Success, Sales, and Product Marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and operationalize the lifecycle platform, migrating priority journeys off legacy systems and defining data needed for segmentation and personalization.
Establish naming conventions, suppression rules, frequency policies, approval workflows, QA standards, and high deliverability.
Map the onboarding journey from account creation to calendar connection, first hosted meeting, first recap, repeat usage, and feature discovery.
Build targeted programs for drop-off points, run in-product and out-of-product activation experiments, and nudge users toward feature discovery and upsells.
Construct behavioral journeys that drive repeat meetings and adoption of high-value capabilities based on user experience rather than generic calendars.
Connect demonstrated product value to paid capabilities including free-to-paid, Pro-to-workspace, monthly-to-annual, and workspace expansion.
Build interventions for churn risk, inactivity, downgrade intent, and upcoming renewal while partnering with Customer Success.
Maintain a prioritized experimentation roadmap testing across content, timing, triggers, channels, frequency, and offers while measuring incremental behavior and revenue change.
Own campaign quality assurance, maintain privacy and consent management, and build feedback programs to understand user behavior.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or growth marketing for high-volume SaaS, PLG, consumer, or prosumer products.
Hands-on experience with tools like Sendgrid, Customer.io, Iterable, Braze, HubSpot, or Klaviyo, including implementing or substantially rebuilding infrastructure.
Demonstrated measurable improvements in activation, retention, conversion, renewal, or expansion.
Strong grasp of behavioral segmentation, triggered messaging, experimentation, cohort analysis, and quantitative instincts.
Comfort defining events, requirements, and measurement alongside engineering and data teams.
Excellent writing skills and experience coordinating email with in-product surfaces alongside working knowledge of deliverability, consent, localization, and campaign QA.
Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
