Role Overview

Commure is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager for the team that owns the financial core of its revenue cycle product in Mountain View, CA. The position centers on managing a team of six to eight engineers, directing product roadmaps, and ensuring strict financial correctness for ledgers, reports, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Manage, hire, and guide the career growth of a team consisting of six to eight engineers ranging from early-career to Senior Staff levels.
Collaborate with product partners to define roadmaps aimed at enabling customers to independently generate reports and close their books.
Maintain strict financial correctness by implementing systems such as shadow parity harnesses, cross-report tie-out checks, drift monitoring, and correctness SLOs.
Execute multi-quarter migrations for ledger reports and OLAP golden views incrementally without interrupting customer closing periods.
Engage directly with comptrollers, CFOs, and RCM directors during month-end processes to translate financial definitions into software.
Coordinate cross-team execution with payments, data infrastructure, and operations teams to prevent upstream changes from affecting downstream figures.

Requirements

Five or more years of experience managing software engineers, including senior and staff-level individual contributors.
Demonstrated experience shipping financial, reporting, or data-intensive production systems requiring precise numerical accuracy.
Strong backend and data fluency capable of reviewing query plans, evaluating ledger designs, and debugging parity failures.
Experience setting long-term product direction and establishing twelve-month product visions.
Direct communication skills suitable for discussing financial metrics with enterprise CFOs.
Operational discipline covering on-call duties, service-level objectives, and monitoring for both availability and data correctness.

Nice to Have

Background in healthcare RCM, billing, practice management, clearinghouses, or fintech fields involving ledgers and reconciliation.
Experience working with OLAP data stores alongside PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with double-entry accounting, append-only ledgers, or audit-trail requirements.
Experience leading platform re-architectures while maintaining active system shipments.
Experience delivering production LLM features, such as AI report builders.
