The day-to-day work for the Senior Deal Desk Analyst involves managing the entire commercial lifecycle of deals, from initial quote creation through to final billing. This role acts as the central point of control for non-straight-through sales, which includes verifying quotes, managing discount lines, routing necessary approvals, and ensuring accurate order transmission to the billing department. The analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining the tiered approval matrix and tracking exceptions to ensure process adherence.
This position exists to centralize and streamline the complex commercial processes required to close deals within the organization. It is crucial for ensuring that deals are processed correctly, securely, and efficiently, which directly impacts revenue realization and operational accuracy. What you will do
- Own commercial approvals for deals valued under $100K.
- Develop and maintain a tiered approval matrix and manage weekly exception logs.
- Drive contract paperwork, including tracking open redlines and coordinating with outside counsel.
- Manage the security review process from start to finish.
- Oversee the transition of closed-won deals into the billing stage, including order form and PO reconciliation.
- Manage SLED procurement mechanics, such as vendor registrations, W-9s, insurance certificates, and bid responses.
- Scale responsibilities to cover enterprise deals, procurement portals, and vendor onboarding over time.
What you need
- Possess at least four years of experience in deal desk, revenue operations, sales operations, or order management within a B2B company that sells into the United States.
- Must have direct experience owning quote construction and discount approvals, rather than just administrative quote tasks.
- Demonstrate working fluency with a CRM and a quoting or CPQ system, with a preference for HubSpot and comfort in configuring rules.
- Experience with the order-to-cash cycle, spanning from invoice through collection, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage complex documentation and coordinate effectively with external counsel.
- Proven ability to manage and scale responsibilities across various deal sizes and operational areas.
