Role Overview

Coram AI seeks a Member of Technical Staff for a Full Stack position in Sunnyvale. The engineer will design scalable systems and APIs, develop backend services for video and sensor data, and implement user-facing frontends. The position involves working closely with product teams and machine learning pipelines in an onsite environment.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and maintain backend services handling large-scale video and sensor data ingestion, processing, and serving.
Deliver AI-native features from start to finish, including agentic workflows, real-time detections, and natural-language video search powered by computer vision and multimodal LLMs.
Develop user-facing frontends utilizing React and TypeScript in coordination with the product team.
Engineer scalable APIs and architectures that connect with machine learning pipelines and edge device fleets.
Participate in architectural and infrastructure choices from the foundational level.
Resolve engineering challenges related to high availability, real-time data processing, and distributed systems.

Requirements

Hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent relevant experience.
Demonstrate strong proficiency in C++, Python, or Golang.
Bring hands-on background with modern frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and react-query.
Show proven capability in designing and constructing scalable backend architectures and APIs.
Maintain familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure, containers, distributed systems, Pulumi for IaC, and Kubernetes on AWS.
Exhibit fluency in AI-assisted development approaches.
Possess previous startup background building systems from the ground up or scale-up experience.
Understand system reliability, performance optimization, and clean architecture principles.
Demonstrate resilience within fast-paced and demanding settings.
Communicate effectively in English with strong written and verbal skills.
Work from the Sunnyvale location on an onsite basis.
