Fireworks AI seeks a Security Operations Lead to establish and manage the security operations function at the company's San Mateo office or through remote work arrangements. This position suits an experienced security professional ready to transition from a hands-on contributor into a leadership role while scaling the threat detection and response capabilities for an enterprise AI platform.

Key Responsibilities

Roll out, tune, and operate CrowdStrike across endpoint and cloud environments alongside SIEM use cases.
Define and execute the detection and response program by building detection content, creating triage workflows, and tracking coverage against frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK.
Manage incident response from start to finish by operationalizing the Security Incident Response Plan into playbooks, leading incident calls, and conducting post-incident reviews.
Establish security operations workflows utilizing SOAR automation, Incident.io for on-call orchestration, and ticketing triage procedures.
Build a threat intelligence program focused on AI infrastructure threats and translate that data into practical system hardening and detection strategies.

Requirements

Seven or more years of professional background in security operations, incident response, or detection and response.
Practical, hands-on experience utilizing EDR solutions such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Microsoft Defender.
Background in detection engineering with a proven ability to write, test, and maintain detection content at scale.
Demonstrated leadership running authentic security incidents from initial triage through executive reporting.
Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools like Python for detection and reporting workflows.
Operational knowledge of cloud security across AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Nice to Have

Background in SIEM detection engineering at scale using tools like CrowdStrike Falcon LogScale, Splunk, or Sumo Logic.
Familiarity with incident management platforms including Incident.io or PagerDuty.
Practical experience in threat intelligence operations.
Prior employment history within an artificial intelligence, high-growth SaaS, or cloud infrastructure business.
Industry certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, or OSCP.
