Role Overview

Fireworks AI is hiring a Member of Technical Staff for a newly formed Product-Led Growth team based in San Mateo. The selected engineer will own developer outcomes end-to-end, creating the infrastructure, activation flows, and experimentation frameworks that scale enterprise adoption of open AI models.

Key Responsibilities

Own developer outcomes end to end by finding problems, shaping solutions, prototyping, shipping to production, instrumenting, and learning from results.
Build growth foundations including event tracking, funnels, experimentation frameworks, and lifecycle messaging.
Design and run experiments with rigor, defining clear hypotheses, appropriate metrics, and honest readouts.
Interact directly with developers to observe building habits, identify points of failure, and translate findings into working code.
Craft polished, fast, and accessible user experiences across the marketing site and product interfaces.
Analyze funnel and cohort data to inform future product bets and communicate insights clearly.
Collaborate closely with product, design, marketing, data, and sales teams to support self-serve growth alongside sales-led motions.
Utilize AI coding tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining strict quality standards.

Requirements

Five or more years of experience building and shipping user-facing products, including hands-on work on product or growth surfaces as a senior, staff, or founding engineer.
Demonstrated track record of moving business metrics with measurable results.
Full-stack proficiency featuring TypeScript and React on the front end, alongside backend services, APIs, data models, and SQL.
Product engineer mindset focused on defining both problems and solutions.
Designer's eye for interaction details, copy, and simplicity in technical products.
Hands-on background with A/B testing, funnel analysis, and product analytics.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have

Growth, activation, or monetization experience at a developer-tools, API, or infrastructure company.
Experience building developer-facing products like APIs, SDKs, developer tools, and consoles.
Familiarity with consumption or usage-based pricing and billing.
Experience building product-led growth or self-serve motions within companies that also utilize top-down sales.
Background in trust, safety, or identity systems.
Prior building experience with Large Language Model APIs and opinions on AI developer onboarding.
A portfolio, side projects, or independent launches demonstrating product taste and range.
