Role Overview

The Security Engineer III takes operational ownership of the Wiz Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) suite and bridges the gap between infrastructure protection and software development. The person in this role will trace software defects, vulnerabilities, and hardcoded secrets from git environments directly into running containerized architectures. Furthermore, the role involves designing robust security guardrails to protect LLM structures and pipeline environments against next-generation adversarial patterns.

Key Responsibilities

Architect, configure, and maintain the Wiz CNAPP suite globally across AWS enterprise structures using security graphs.
Integrate Wiz Code natively within engineering workflows to provide scanning capabilities across GitHub/GitLab and automated CI/CD engines.
Map live, running AWS workload exploits directly back to distinct repository blocks, code branches, and developers.
Intercept Software Composition Analysis (SCA) alerts, malicious package risks, hardcoded infrastructure secrets, and broken Infrastructure as Code architectures.
Isolate toxic combinations within the Wiz Security Graph and evaluate multi-vector attack paths.
Implement Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM) reviews to enforce least privilege principles across AWS resources like ECS, EC2, S3, EKS, and AWS Lambda.
Translate framework regulations into active compliance monitoring tracks for CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
Harden AI and ML pipelines across Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, and specialized training cluster nodes.
Construct defenses targeting prompt injection, data poisoning, model inversion, and server-side request forgery.
Assist internal security operations with telemetry context and co-author secure-by-design engineering guidelines.

Requirements

4+ years of focused technical practice in DevSecOps, Enterprise Application Security, or Cloud Security engineering.
1 to 2+ years of hands-on platform administration across Wiz CNAPP, including Wiz Code or Wiz Code to Cloud pipelines.
Deep structural knowledge of AWS IAM, KMS, Security Hub, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, VPC topologies, and multi-account Organization structures.
Familiarity securing AI interfaces such as the OpenAI API, Amazon Bedrock, and SageMaker, along with hardening orchestration components like LangChain or vector databases.
Deep fluency in reading, validating, and writing secure Infrastructure as Code manifests using Terraform.
Competency in engineering automation routines with Python (Boto3) or Shell scripts.
