Key Responsibilities

Identify and drive impactful projects to enhance the security posture of Figma's product, platform, and IT systems.
Participate in operational security duties such as security reviews, technical consulting, vulnerability triage, and incident response.
Focus on cross-functional collaboration to execute systemic security improvements and reduce organizational risk.
Depending on the assigned team, perform duties across AI Security, Platform Security, Product Security, and Anti-Abuse initiatives.
Conduct technical security assessments, code audits, and design reviews for infrastructure, codebases, and product features.
Design and develop solutions to prevent or mitigate security vulnerabilities, fraud, spam, and abuse vectors.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of proven engineering experience working in either a Security Engineering or a Software Engineering capacity.
Strong security judgment in risk prioritization and threat modeling, or strong technical judgment in building scalable systems.
Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language.
Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities, with a history of cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to Have

Subject matter expertise in Cloud Security, Application Security, Corporate Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), or Data Access Governance.
Demonstrated ability to make challenging prioritization decisions regarding security controls.
