About this role

Cartesia is hiring a Scaled Customer Success Manager to build the foundational post-sales experience for thousands of startup and SMB customers out of the San Francisco headquarters. This full-time role suits an experienced customer-facing professional who wants to design scalable programs, leverage automation, and drive platform adoption at a fast-growing artificial intelligence company.

Role Overview

Cartesia is seeking its first Scaled Customer Success Manager to shape how thousands of customers achieve success using the platform. Ranging from early-stage AI startups launching voice agents to rapidly scaling companies building production-grade voice experiences, the customer base requires efficient, system-driven support rather than traditional headcount expansion. Reporting to the GTM department, this role takes ownership of the entire post-sales lifecycle, including onboarding, adoption, retention, and expansion. The chosen professional will collaborate directly with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to establish repeatable playbooks, automated lifecycles, and educational assets that amplify customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the complete post-sales customer journey from initial onboarding through renewal for a growing portfolio of startup and SMB accounts.
Drive rapid product adoption and seamless onboarding to help clients realize value quickly.
Develop repeatable onboarding, education, and lifecycle programs designed to scale from hundreds to thousands of users.
Track customer health metrics, identify potential risks early, and proactively execute retention strategies.
Work alongside Sales to pinpoint expansion opportunities driven by active product usage and adoption.
Function as a trusted product expert, guiding clients on industry best practices to maximize platform value.
Produce scalable customer resources, including documentation, playbooks, webinars, office hours, and enablement materials.
Share customer feedback with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap discussions and enhance the overall experience.
Optimize Customer Success operations by implementing automation, advanced systems, and AI tools.

Requirements

Possess 3 to 6 years of professional experience in Customer Success, Technical Customer Success, Account Management, Solutions Consulting, or a closely related customer-facing discipline within a high-growth B2B SaaS organization.
Demonstrated background managing a scaled portfolio of accounts while delivering strong results.
Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to prioritize competing initiatives across a large customer base.
High customer empathy and solid product intuition, with a passion for understanding user objectives.
Data-driven mindset proficient in utilizing product usage metrics, health signals, and CRM insights to drive daily workflows.
Superior written and verbal communication skills tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
High ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and a proactive approach to problem resolution.
Strong builder mentality, showing enthusiasm for creating processes, playbooks, and scalable systems.
Commercial awareness regarding how adoption directly influences retention and account expansion.
Eagerness to use AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and focus on complex customer challenges.

Nice to Have
