Role Overview

As the Product Manager for Security, the individual will take complete ownership of CodeRabbit's AI-driven security scanner. This high-ownership individual contributor role focuses on hunting vulnerabilities across codebases, surfacing security findings within pull request reviews, and building a scanner that both developers and application security teams rely upon. The position requires a deep foundation in security, focusing heavily on precision, reduction of false positives, and practical vulnerability management.

Key Responsibilities

Shape the end-to-end security product direction and roadmap, covering deep codebase scans, vulnerability classes, and language support.
Oversee the findings experience, including severity grading, remediation workflows, dismissals, and feedback loops to minimize false positives.
Engage directly with the AppSec and CISO buyer personas to understand organizational evaluation criteria, pricing, packaging, and enterprise positioning.
Partner daily with engineering teams to guide detection priorities, balance precision against coverage, and ensure high quality standards.
Collaborate with Sales to support enterprise security evaluations and navigate the competitive code security market.

Requirements

Bring five to eight years of professional experience within the security space, originating either from product management at a security vendor or from hands-on security work transitioned into product roles.
Possess product management experience working with deeply technical B2B SaaS products or developer tools.
Demonstrate practical knowledge of real vulnerability classes, exploit mechanisms, and the broader security tooling landscape such as SAST, secrets scanning, IaC, and software composition analysis.
Maintain high technical fluency, including the ability to read code, discuss APIs with engineers, and write precise product requirement documents.
Operate comfortably amidst ambiguity, demonstrating low ego and high ownership.

Nice to Have

Hands-on practitioner background featuring documented CVEs, bug bounty participation, CTFs, or pentest findings.
Prior experience shipping products powered by LLMs or agentic systems.
Direct vendor-side experience in the code security market, including SAST, ASPM, or software composition analysis.
Working knowledge of Git platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or ADO as a power user or product manager.
