Role Overview

Fireworks AI is seeking a Product Manager, Platform for a full-time position based in San Mateo with remote flexibility. This role centers on core inference products and general platform features, including inference performance, controls, accounts, and fraud reduction.

Key Responsibilities

Own the roadmap, strategy, and success metrics for platform and inference products across API, UI, and CLI.
Collaborate directly with enterprises and AI-native startups running production inference to unblock challenges and productize capabilities.
Manage commercial and trust surfaces like onboarding, accounts, billing, rate limits, quotas, and fraud prevention.
Partner with sales, field teams, and product marketing to launch platform capabilities, pricing, packaging, documentation, and enablement.

Requirements

2 to 8+ years of product management experience building technical or developer-oriented products.
Strong technical background with a CS/EE degree, production engineering experience, or equivalent on-the-job depth.
Familiarity with the model serving inference lifecycle, throughput and latency tradeoffs, and production costs.
Proven end-to-end ownership of a product area spanning strategy, specifications, launches, and metrics.
Excellent written communication skills for creating clear specs, launch posts, and customer explanations.
Comfort with ambiguity and a strong bias toward shipping and learning.

Nice to Have

Experience building on top of an LLM API and navigating latency, reliability, and cost tradeoffs.
Background in self-serve or product-led growth (PLG) products involving usage-based billing, onboarding funnels, and rate limits.
Experience with trust and safety, abuse prevention, or payment fraud at scale.
Understanding of GPU economics, batching, utilization, and margin tradeoffs against latency SLAs.
Background with cloud or developer platforms featuring metered pricing and enterprise organization management.
Early startup or founding experience.
