Role Overview

CloudZero is growing rapidly as demand increases for sophisticated cloud financial solutions. As the Principal Product Manager for Agentic Systems, the individual will own major product challenges by turning noisy financial and operational data into trusted, explainable recommendations and automated actions. This position focuses on core systems product work at scale, blending cloud infrastructure, automation, data orchestration, and human-in-the-loop decision-making to transition the platform from insight delivery to intelligent action.

Key Responsibilities

Own the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for automated decision systems and agentic products.
Translate operational and financial signals, such as budgets, spend anomalies, and forecasts, into clear recommendations or automated actions.
Define the boundaries for when the platform should observe, recommend, require human approval, or execute autonomously.
Design rigorous trust, safety, blast radius, rollback, and auditability frameworks.
Write precise product requirements for signal ingestion, decision logic, guardrails, and confidence signals.
Partner directly with enterprise customers, internal FinOps experts, engineering, and design teams to build scalable workflows.
Act as the internal subject matter expert on automation and agentic capabilities for both strategic clients and internal teams.

Requirements

5 to 8+ years of product management experience building B2B SaaS products within technically complex domains.
Exceptional product craft, including writing detailed decision documents and PRDs to turn ambiguous problems into testable solutions.
Direct background owning products involving automation, decision systems, or orchestration, such as DevOps tooling, observability platforms, or security workflows.
Deep comfort collaborating with engineering teams on system behavior, failure modes, and edge cases.
Experience designing workflows where correctness, trust, and managing false positives are critical.
Demonstrated ability to independently own a complex product area and deliver tangible outcomes.

Nice to Have

Experience with FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud infrastructure platforms.
Familiarity with billing and usage data across AWS, GCP, and Azure, alongside data orchestration frameworks or CI/CD concepts.
Professional background in systems engineering, DevOps, SRE, or data engineering prior to product management.
Comfort analyzing logs, telemetry, or metrics to reason about system tradeoffs.
Background working with enterprise clients in regulated or high-stakes environments.
Exposure to AI or machine learning enabled products requiring strict user control and explainability.
