Role Overview

The Principal Frontend AI Engineer joins the Cortex Code team at Snowflake in Menlo Park, California. The position centers on delivering high-polish user experiences, establishing architectural visions for coding agent platforms, and creating systems that combine aesthetics and functionality for data accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

Design and construct user experiences with high polish, creativity, and interaction standards to address complex customer challenges.
Establish the architectural vision for the CoCo coding agent platform while maintaining design consistency across product surfaces.
Build innovative platform capabilities with a global perspective to operate across regional boundaries.
Partner closely with cross-functional groups such as product management and design.
Coordinate feature delivery with related teams working on cloud infrastructure, data sharing, and cross-region replication.
Contribute to product vision and guide team planning activities.
Inspire colleagues through collaborative leadership and clear communication.
Construct systems focused on high performance and scalability.

Requirements

Possess 10 plus years of software development experience specializing in product web UI application development.
Demonstrate background working with agentic systems, coding agents, and the Agentic Software Development Life Cycle.
Bring experience building interactive dashboards, visualization platforms, or rich data visualization.
Understand modern web application design architecture, API design patterns, performance, and scaling.
Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, APIs, testing, version control, and deployment management.
Show technical leadership background as an architect or tech lead for customer-facing projects.
Knowledge of modern technologies including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, and Node.

Nice to Have

Distributed system development background.
Experience utilizing Electron and VS Code tools or libraries.
