Key Responsibilities

Lead broad, high-stakes technical programs end-to-end that involve multiple teams, leadership, Legal, Risk, and Compliance departments.
Shape the platform's long-term technical roadmap by identifying necessary investments, ranging from granular permissions to AI-native integrations.
Multiply the impact of the engineering organization by raising technical standards through coaching, mentorship programs, and structured enablement.
Connect overarching business goals and customer needs directly to concrete technical execution plans, communicating effectively with both developers and executives.

Requirements

Extensive background in large-scale backend architecture, having previously designed and scaled high-volume systems like search, billing, or transactions under rapid growth.
Proven company-wide technical leadership experience in driving complex, multi-team initiatives alongside cross-functional partners such as Legal and Compliance.
Highly autonomous mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguous environments, map complex ecosystems, surface potential risks early, and initiate projects independently.
Track record as a multiplier who elevates groups of engineers via mentorship programs, documentation, and technical enablement rather than just individual coding contributions.
Familiarity with incorporating AI tools into daily workflows to accelerate architecture, prototyping, and communication.
