Role Overview

Sarvam AI is seeking a Motion Designer to join its team in Bengaluru on a full-time basis within the marketing department. This role suits a creative professional with at least three years of experience who is ready to establish the foundational motion language for India's full-stack sovereign AI platform.

Key Responsibilities

Establish and document a reusable motion language covering timing, easing, entrances, transitions, monogram behavior, and gradient travel for future assets.
Produce end-to-end films including model launches, product announcements, research drops, event opens, and brand pieces from concept to final sound delivery.
Create motion for live product surfaces such as web animations, scroll behavior, UI micro-interactions, and walkthrough videos.
Coordinate clean handoffs to engineering using formats like Lottie, Rive, sprite sequences, or build specs.
Solve complex visual challenges by creating motion for conversational voice agents across eleven Indian languages without relying on generic waveforms.
Integrate AI tools professionally into the workflow for generative video, boards, previz, rotoscoping, upscaling, and variations.
Collaborate across design, marketing, product, research, and founders to meet hard launch dates.

Requirements

Three or more years of professional experience in motion design either in-house or at a studio, supported by a strong reel.
Advanced expertise in After Effects utilizing shape layers, expressions, and rigging alongside editing skills in Premiere or Resolve.
Proficiency in Figma as a core tool within the design system.
Working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop for asset creation and cleanup.
Strong grasp of fundamentals including timing, weight, staging, anticipation, and type behavior in motion.
Practical experience using AI tools within a professional motion pipeline alongside systemic design thinking.

Nice to Have

Experience with 3D software such as Blender or Cinema 4D for abstract systems and product visualization.
Familiarity with real-time or code-based motion tools including Rive, three.js, GLSL, TouchDesigner, or Houdini.
Strong instincts or capabilities in sound design and mix.
Knowledge of animating Indic typography such as Devanagari, Tamil, or Kannada.
