Role Overview

The Manager, Software Engineering provides both technical and people leadership to drive modern software practices and pragmatic artificial intelligence integration. This position involves managing talent, ensuring system reliability, and streamlining invoice processing and supply chain workflows within a collaborative environment. The professional in this role partners closely with cross-functional leads to align priorities, handle incident responses, and execute timely software releases.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical and people mentorship to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance within the engineering group.
Contribute to impactful coding on foundational components, critical paths, and system modernization efforts.
Coordinate incident responses and technical resolutions for team-owned services.
Utilize artificial intelligence throughout the software development life cycle for code generation, analysis, testing, and process automation.
Drive sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies to ensure predictable and timely feature delivery.
Collaborate with quality assurance, data analytics, and security teams to maintain compliance, robust testing coverage, and high software quality.
Establish comprehensive monitoring, logging, alerting, and CI/CD pipeline optimizations.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 8 years of prior software development experience, combining hands-on coding and management duties.
Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, alongside container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Deep understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools such as GitHub Actions or Bamboo.
Extensive experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban in fast-paced settings.
Strong background in quality assurance principles, unit testing, and automated test frameworks.
Practical knowledge of applying artificial intelligence tools within everyday engineering processes.
