The Legal Engineering team is composed of former practicing attorneys who act as the trust layer across the customer lifecycle, guiding prospects and customers from initial pilots to complex custom-built workflows.
Legal Engineers operate across pre-sales, post-sales, and custom solutions to translate real legal work into Harvey solutions. Professionals in this group design, build, and refine solutions using natural language prompting, lead demos and onboarding, and directly shape the product roadmap. This role suits former attorneys with a practical mindset, strong executive presence, and a deep curiosity about artificial intelligence.
What you will do
- Lead discovery, demos, trainings, and onboarding alongside account executives and customer success managers.
- Translate real legal workflows into tailored Harvey solutions that withstand live in-practice pressure.
- Engage with leading law firms and corporate legal teams throughout the pre-sales and post-sales process.
- Design bespoke resources including agents and playbooks using natural language prompting for complex custom solutions.
- Bring prospect and customer feedback back to the product and engineering teams to shape future releases.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders such as general counsel and practice group heads.
What you need
- Hold a JD or equivalent legal qualification.
- Bring three or more years of experience practicing law in-house, at a top-tier law firm, or advising a sophisticated corporate legal team.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the workflows, challenges, and demands of in-house legal teams.
- Exhibit executive presence and relationship-building skills to establish credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
- Possess outstanding communication and presentation skills for leading live demos and facilitating workshops.
- Maintain a deep curiosity about artificial intelligence and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.

You may be asked to travel around 2 to 3 times per month. Travel is always for a significant business and typically lasts for 1 to 3 days at a time.
What is the compensation structure?
The salary range is $220,000 to $320,000 USD OTE with a 75/25 split. The position also offers equity and commission.
