Role Overview

G2 seeks an Intern for AI Agent Evaluations to join the Agentic Marketplace team in San Francisco, CA. Reporting directly to the Head of Product for the Agentic Marketplace, the intern helps expand the AI agent evaluation program by supporting evaluation methods, managing vendor relationships, and monitoring the broader market landscape. This role collaborates closely with the product, data science, and engineering departments.

Key Responsibilities

Break down agent jobs into testable steps and author tasks, test data, and scoring rules for evaluation.
Review scoring outcomes generated by human reviewers and AI judges.
Support the scaling system to engage with hundreds of AI agent vendors.
Prepare result packets for vendors ahead of publication and maintain weekly tracking of the vendor pipeline.
Monitor external market activities by tracking other evaluators, AI labs, benchmark groups, evaluation startups, and analyst firms.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an MBA program.
Familiarity with building or using AI tools such as LLM APIs, chat assistants, or agents, alongside an understanding of their operations and failure modes.
Strong concise writing abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively with startup founders and product leaders, maintaining positions when appropriate while adjusting to factual evidence.
Capable of advancing ambiguous problems that lack established processes.
Residence in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Availability to work 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic year.

Nice to Have

Prior experience building an AI agent, benchmark, or evaluation via class or personal projects.
Background working at or alongside a B2B software company in areas such as sales, product, startup environments, or venture.
Experience in sales, marketing, or customer support functions.
Public writing experience regarding software or AI through newsletters, blogs, or research.
Existing familiarity with the San Francisco AI startup ecosystem.
