Role Overview

Fireworks AI is looking for a senior leader to own the strategy and execution of business systems that connect GTM, Accounting and Finance, Data teams, and Operations. This position involves defining the multi-year systems roadmap, improving core enterprise platforms, and integrating AI-enabled capabilities and tools into the broader technology ecosystem. Operating cross-functionally, the leader will set architecture standards, ensure compliance and data governance, and guide complex transformation programs from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the company-wide business systems strategy, architecture, and multi-year roadmap across core enterprise functions.
Manage the portfolio of critical business applications, ensuring high reliability, scalability, security, and proper vendor risk management.
Partner with functional leaders to redesign workflows and deploy workflow platforms, APIs, and AI-enabled automation to boost operational efficiency.
Establish a coherent integration strategy and clear governance for data ownership, systems of record, and secure AI tool access.
Lead major cross-functional transformation initiatives such as financial systems modernization, quote-to-cash, and AI-enabled workflow changes.
Build, develop, and lead a high-performing Business Systems organization spanning platform owners, architects, and developers.
Oversee enterprise software spend, collaborate with Finance and Procurement on vendor selection, and evaluate AI technology vendors.

Requirements

12+ years of experience across Business Systems, Enterprise Applications, IT, Business Technology, or related functions.
5+ years of experience leading teams in a rapidly growing or complex enterprise environment.
Demonstrated ownership of large-scale enterprise application portfolios and transformation initiatives.
Deep experience with major enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Oracle, or billing platforms.
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, integrations, APIs, workflow automation, identity, and data governance.
Experience evaluating, implementing, and integrating AI tools or AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise applications and business workflows.
Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and translate business strategy into systems and operational capabilities.
