About this role

Perplexity is building programs that help employees join, move, and work across borders. This Global Mobility Lead manages immigration casework, relocation policies, and vendor relationships while partnering closely with Legal, Finance, and People Ops to make international transitions compliant and smooth.

Day-to-day work involves overseeing the entire mobility policy suite, running individual relocation cases from scoping to landing, and managing employment-based immigration filings alongside outside counsel. The person in this role also tracks compliance for right-to-work requirements, determines entity structures for new markets, and builds dashboards to monitor case volume, costs, and cycle times.

An ideal candidate brings deep expertise in global mobility and US immigration, coupled with strong analytical skills and sound judgment regarding regulatory risk. Someone who thrives in high-volume environments and communicates clearly with both candidates and leadership will do well here.

What you will do

  • Manage the complete mobility policy suite covering relocation, permanent transfers, international assignments, and cross-border work arrangements.
  • Handle individual mobility cases from scoping and package design to relocation logistics and post-arrival support.
  • Partner with outside counsel to oversee employment-based immigration casework including H-1B, L-1, TN, and permanent residence applications.
  • Ensure right-to-work compliance across multiple jurisdictions such as US I-9 and E-Verify checks as well as UK share-code validations.
  • Determine and document employment models for new markets in collaboration with Finance and Legal teams.
  • Supervise the mobility vendor stack and track costs, fees, and service level agreements.
  • Build tracking systems and executive-facing dashboards for case pipelines, immigration deadlines, cycle times, and move expenditures.

What you need

  • Bring at least 6 years of professional experience in global mobility with direct ownership of cross-border moves and immigration casework.
  • Demonstrate working fluency in US employment-based immigration alongside expertise in at least one other major jurisdiction like the UK, EU, or Canada.
  • Possess strong analytical capabilities including proficiency in spreadsheets and HRIS reporting to build financial and operational models.
  • Exercise sound judgment around compliance risks, classification exposure, and regulatory escalation.
  • Write effectively to draft clear employee-facing policies, verification letters, and executive recommendations.
  • Maintain comfort working amidst ambiguity, high case volumes, and shifting operational priorities.
