Role Overview

Sarvam AI is seeking a Frontend Engineer to construct advanced interfaces that power strategic sector and enterprise AI applications in Bengaluru. Unlike standard form-and-table positions, this job involves building deployable product components that function reliably in offline-first, low-bandwidth, and hardware-constrained environments. The professional joining this team will take charge of the frontend layer for multiple product components and collaborate directly with backend engineers, product managers, and deployment teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop performant, production-grade frontend interfaces for strategic sector and enterprise AI use cases, including geospatial overlays, simulation UIs, natural language access layers, ontology viewers, data ingestion dashboards, and complex enterprise workflows.
Take end-to-end ownership of the frontend layer for reusable product components, ranging from component architecture to deployment in client-embedded environments.
Collaborate alongside backend developers and product managers to deliver complete product components to real users.
Build applications specifically for constrained scenarios, handling offline-first capabilities, low-bandwidth connections, and limited hardware instead of relying on ideal development setups.
Contribute to shared frontend infrastructure, covering component libraries, design systems, and state management patterns.
Take part in field testing and client feedback loops alongside Strategic Deployment Engineers across strategic sector and complex enterprise accounts.

Requirements

Possess professional background in frontend engineering with shipped, production-grade products.
Demonstrate deep proficiency in React, TypeScript, modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind, and strong component architecture instincts.
Show expertise in state management tools such as Zustand or Redux Toolkit, along with strong async data patterns.
Bring practical data visualization experience in production using tools like D3.js, Mapbox, Leaflet, Deck.gl, or Recharts.
Handle REST and WebSocket API integration with sufficient backend awareness to debug issues across the system boundary.
Focus on performance engineering, including bundle optimization, lazy loading, and rendering performance in low-resource environments.

Nice to Have

Experience with WebGL or Three.js for 3D visualization.
Familiarity with Electron or desktop application development.
Background in offline-first or Progressive Web App architecture.
Prior work building dashboards, command-and-control user interfaces, or complex enterprise tooling.
