Role Overview

As a Founding Product Manager, the individual will spearhead the development of AI agents designed for P&C insurance carriers, starting with automated claims auditing. Working in a zero-to-one environment, this role requires close collaboration with founders, engineers, and insurance industry leaders to transform real-world operational pain points into shipped product features that directly improve loss ratios, efficiency, and capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate directly with founders, customers, and engineering teams to define product vision, strategy, and economic value.
Shape how AI agents understand insurance ontologies, integrate with carrier systems, and review complex data structures such as claims files and policies.
Engage continuously with claims leaders, audit teams, and executives to translate user needs into actionable intelligence.
Manage backlogs, prioritize feature roadmaps, and partner closely with product design and engineering to break down technical requirements.
Navigate enterprise security and compliance requirements including SOC2, RBAC, SSO, and data partitioning.
Contribute to go-to-market decisions and product strategy.

Requirements

Technical capability to leverage AI tooling and effectively manage the product organization.
Proven experience interviewing users and subject matter experts to model requirements and document insights.
Strong background in backlog management, feature prioritization, and strategic business alignment.
Familiarity with enterprise security and compliance standards tailored to carrier customers.
Experience solving open-ended problems in early-stage startups from zero to one with minimal supervision.
Passion for building new AI technology and working independently within a small, high-ownership team.

Nice to Have

Deep professional experience in property and casualty insurance claims or claims auditing.
Comfort working with large unstructured data files including documents, notes, images, video, audio, and tasks.
