Frontdesk AI is hiring a full-time Founding Engineer for its Scend department in New York City. This role suits a software developer with over two years of experience who wants to work directly with founders to build scalable systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and build high-performance, scalable APIs designed to deliver financial data and convert them into user-facing product features.

Construct AI-driven systems by generating datasets and research reports with large language models, alongside applying fine-tuning and evaluations to boost accuracy.

Process massive datasets through tools like Airflow, Pandas, and Spark.

Build and maintain high-scale web crawling systems capable of gathering site data and documentation.

Handle infrastructure duties using Terraform, Docker, and AWS ECS, plus monitoring solutions like CloudWatch and Sentry.

Requirements

Bring at least two years of professional experience building scalable software systems.

Demonstrate strong expertise in Python and SQL.

Nice to Have

Familiarity or background working with machine learning and LLM systems.

Comfort utilizing data processing frameworks such as Spark, Airflow, and Pandas.

Experience with infrastructure automation and containerization tools including Docker and Terraform.
