Role Overview

Frontdesk AI is seeking a talented Founding Engineer for Baton AI in San Francisco to help build an enterprise automation platform for cross-application workflows. This in-person role is designed for ambitious professionals with at least three years of full-stack engineering experience who want to shape the future of artificial intelligence automation.

Key Responsibilities

Design and construct essential components of the full-stack web application, API infrastructure, and AI-driven automation platform.

Tackle complex technical challenges involving AI agents, prompt engineering, evaluations, monitoring, APIs, and browser automation.

Partner closely with early customers and the founding team to establish the technical roadmap and deliver impactful features.

Prototype, experiment, and ship solutions rapidly within a low-bureaucracy, high-trust setting.

Requirements

Minimum of three years of full-stack engineering experience with a passion for working with React and TypeScript.

Demonstrated proficiency in modern web application development using React or NextJS alongside Node.js.

Product-minded approach with a strong commitment to clean code creation and exceptional user experience.

Ability to thrive while breaking down ambiguity and delivering fast results.

Commitment to working in-person with the team in San Francisco, California.

Nice to Have

Understanding of Python and Elixir or functional programming.

Experience building rich-text editors similar to Notion, or a strong excitement to take on that challenge.

Prior experience or strong interest in developing AI and LLM-powered applications as well as workflow automation tools.
