Role Overview

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, the chosen candidate partners with major global organizations to translate ambitious concepts into live applications on the Replit platform. This position combines technical architecture, client collaboration, and software development within complex corporate environments. Team members work directly alongside clients to navigate infrastructure, data security, and organizational hurdles while building advanced software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate directly with strategic enterprise clients to design and construct high-impact applications and AI workflows from concept to production.
Architect secure and scalable solutions connecting Replit with existing corporate systems, data warehouses, APIs, and identity providers.
Serve as the technical lead for complex enterprise implementations, resolving roadblocks and guiding projects to successful adoption.
Transform field observations, recurring client needs, and technical limitations into actionable feedback for internal product and engineering teams.
Convert successful deployment patterns into reusable templates, playbooks, and requirements for the main platform.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of professional software engineering experience creating and launching production software.
Proficiency in programming with the capability to navigate unfamiliar codebases, technical environments, and APIs quickly.
Practical, hands-on experience building production LLM applications involving retrieval, tool calling, and evaluations.
Demonstrated ability to architect and manage complex technical systems independently from initial design to live production.
Excellent communication skills with a history of working directly alongside clients or external technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Background in Forward Deployed Engineering, technical consulting, solutions architecture, or sales engineering.
Experience developing AI-driven software, autonomous agents, or developer tooling.
Familiarity with modern cloud environments, databases, enterprise integrations, authentication, and deployment patterns.
