Role Overview

The Engineering Manager for MLOps position at MoneyLion in Kuala Lumpur offers a chance to lead the advancement of next-generation machine learning platforms and infrastructure. This full-time remote role within the Product and Portfolio department suits an experienced technical leader who enjoys driving innovative financial technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Direct a team of MLOps engineers in researching, designing, and prototyping frameworks to accelerate the machine learning lifecycle.
Partner with data scientists, data engineers, and AI engineers to optimize cross-team workflows and shorten deployment times.
Increase automation levels across the development and deployment phases of machine learning.
Coordinate with IT operations and DevOps teams to seamlessly integrate infrastructure platforms with other business applications.
Build and maintain monitoring systems for production machine learning models while overseeing governance standards.
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure spending to ensure cost efficiency and financial transparency.
Create and execute disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud platforms.
Ensure platform reliability by participating in an on-call rotation to resolve critical incidents.

Requirements

Demonstrated background in managing software development teams within enterprise organizations.
Solid software engineering foundations, including code patterns, code reviews, unit testing, and test-driven development.
Practical background in scaling and managing data pipelines and machine learning algorithms in production.
Hands-on production experience with Kubernetes, specifically with Amazon EKS and a deep understanding of architecture.
Proficient programming abilities in Python, Java, and SQL.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience designing tools that support data analysts and scientists.
Capacity to maintain multiple codebases through code reviews and pair programming.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with MLOps tools such as MLFlow, DVC, Metaflow, Ray, and Chalk.
