Role Overview

The Embedded Data Scientist transforms complex client information into structures that artificial intelligence systems can reliably reason over. The professional works alongside strategic deployment engineers at client sites to understand, structure, and operationalize large-scale data. This position involves managing heterogeneous, multimodal data such as documents, images, audio, geospatial data, and structured records while designing semantic structures that allow intelligence engines to interpret the information effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze the client data landscape across various formats, sources, workflows, and domain terminology.
Design domain ontologies representing entities, relationships, hierarchies, and operational concepts within client environments.
Define document segmentation and chunking strategies that preserve semantic meaning and support effective retrieval.
Index, embed, and link different data modalities from heterogeneous datasets.
Collaborate with deployment engineers to translate semantic structures into operational data ingestion pipelines.
Evaluate system retrieval and reasoning performance, refining structures to achieve better results.
Coordinate with model teams to define benchmarks and evaluation criteria reflecting real-world conditions.
Translate data environment insights into structured signals for product and engineering groups.

Requirements

Possess two to five years of experience in data science, applied machine learning, or large-scale data analysis roles.
Demonstrate strong Python proficiency, including working with pandas, NumPy, and modern natural language processing or large language model tooling.
Bring a solid grounding in machine learning fundamentals to understand model behavior and contribute to evaluation design.
Bring practical experience handling large unstructured datasets such as documents, transcripts, reports, or operational records.
Show familiarity with large language model-based systems, retrieval pipelines, or vector search systems.
Display experience designing or working with data schemas, metadata frameworks, entity models, or semantic data structures.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with knowledge graphs, ontologies, or semantic data modeling.
Experience handling multimodal datasets covering text, imagery, audio, geospatial, or structured records.
Background operating in constrained or air-gapped environments.
