Director, Product Management
About this role
Stewardship Intelligence requires strategic leadership to evolve its core data products, ensuring institutional asset managers and corporate issuers receive reliable governance and proxy-voting insights. Diligent seeks a Director of Product Management to guide both product development and research operations in Budapest, focusing on dataset quality, process automation, and artificial intelligence integration.
Reporting to the VP of Product for Diligent Market Intelligence, the incoming leader will oversee roadmap execution, team development, and cross-functional partnerships with engineering, UX, and commercial departments. Success in this position demands deep domain expertise in capital markets, corporate governance, or proxy voting, alongside a proven track record of scaling data-heavy B2B software products.
What you will do
- Manage the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for the Stewardship Intelligence portfolio.
- Lead and organize the Product Management and Research teams with an emphasis on AI integration and accountability.
- Improve dataset coverage, methodology, quality, traceability, and timeliness through process redesign and automation.
- Collaborate with Engineering and UX to build and launch Data-as-a-Service capabilities and product experiences.
- Conduct customer research and market analysis to understand the needs of institutional asset managers and corporate issuers.
- Partner with Commercial, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to support product positioning, packaging, and adoption.
What you need
- Significant experience in Product Management, Research Operations, Data Products, or a related discipline, including team leadership and strategy setting.
- Mandatory domain experience in stewardship, proxy voting, corporate governance, executive compensation, investor relations, or a closely related capital-markets domain.
- Demonstrated success owning and delivering B2B SaaS, data, or intelligence products from discovery through execution and ongoing performance improvement.
- Proven experience leading research or data operations teams responsible for large-scale structured datasets and enterprise-grade quality standards.
- A track record of improving manual processes through operating-model redesign, automation, or artificial intelligence while maintaining quality and team engagement.
- Exceptional communication, analytical judgement, and stakeholder-management skills to influence senior leaders across departments.
Nice to have
- Experience with Data-as-a-Service, data feeds, data licensing, or other data-product business models.
- Hands-on experience applying LLMs, machine learning, or intelligent automation to regulatory filings and other unstructured documents.
- Familiarity with data provenance, research methodology, quality frameworks, and governance of externally sourced data.
- Experience in or working closely with organizations comparable to market-intelligence providers.

To foster strong collaboration and connection, this role will follow a hybrid work model. If you are within a commuting distance to one of our Diligent office locations, you will be expected to work onsite at least 50% of the time.
What domains are required for candidates to be considered?
Substantial experience in stewardship, proxy voting, corporate governance, executive compensation, investor relations, or a closely related capital-markets domain is required. Candidates without substantial relevant domain experience will not be considered.
