Role Overview

The Developer, Full Stack/iOS role at 1Password involves building and shipping new features, product improvements, and bug fixes within the User Lifecycle team codebase. Key Responsibilities

Build and ship new features, product improvements, and bug fixes within the designated team codebase.
Own the delivery of small-to-medium scoped projects, working with minimal oversight from planning to completion.
Participate in the full development lifecycle, including planning, implementation, testing, release, and post-launch support.
Write maintainable, well-tested code while contributing to evolving testing strategies and practices.
Document work clearly and share context so colleagues can understand, review, and support what is built.
Provide thoughtful code reviews that elevate quality, support team delivery, and reinforce best practices.
Collaborate with customer support and other partners to investigate issues and prioritize customer feedback.

Requirements

Proficiency in Go, Rust, or TypeScript, along with a solid working knowledge of necessary tools and technologies to complete tasks independently.
Experience in building smooth, user-facing features.
Comfort with navigating an existing codebase, reusing established patterns, and proposing improvements when needed.
A quality mindset focused on testing, maintainability, and clarity in code and documentation.
Strong communication skills to share progress, raise blockers early, and ensure stakeholders understand outcomes.
A collaborative approach that seeks feedback, incorporates it well, and contributes constructively to team discussions.
Readiness and willingness to travel for periodic in-person engagements such as annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, or industry events.

Nice to Have

Experience building and shipping iOS features, particularly utilizing Swift and Apple’s SDKs.
Experience supporting production systems and taking part in on-call or incident response rotations.
Familiarity with enhancing developer workflows including tooling, CI/CD, testing, and documentation to boost team velocity and quality.

Salary and Benefits

For United States-based roles, the annual base salary ranges from $123,000 USD to $172,000 USD.
For Canada-based roles, the annual base salary ranges from $111,000 CAD to $155,000 CAD.
