About this role

Palantir builds software platforms for data-driven decisions and operations, enabling partners to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, and protect troops. Deployment Strategists work alongside engineers and product designers to deploy software against complex global problems, turning customer hunches into functional solutions.

Daily responsibilities involve going onsite to meet with customer analysts, identifying relevant datasets, building bespoke workflows, and leading training sessions. Candidates will thrive here by bringing a curious mindset, a strong intuition for product, and user empathy to unstructured environments where they can connect disparate streams of data into cohesive understandings.

This role exists to bridge the gap between technical platforms and intricate customer workflows, ensuring users can make critical decisions effectively. Ideal candidates possess an extraordinary ability to navigate open-ended problems, maintain low ego, and demonstrate a willingness to learn, teach, lead, and follow in high-stakes operational settings.

What you will do

  • Travel onsite to meet with customer analysts, understand critical questions, and locate major pain points.
  • Engage deeply with customer problems to identify relevant datasets and collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers on data pipelines.
  • Build bespoke workflows alongside customers for new user groups.
  • Lead training sessions to ensure product adoption and measure concrete operational impact.
  • Present results and future proposals to audiences ranging from frontline analysts to C-suite executives.
  • Embed with software engineering and product design teams to feed field observations into broader product offerings.
  • Build and deliver software demos to both new and existing customers.

What you need

  • Demonstrate an extraordinary ability to take on open-ended problems in unstructured environments.
  • Maintain an adaptive and introspective approach with a willingness to learn, teach, lead, and follow.
  • Bring a curious and analytical mindset alongside a sharp intuition for product and user empathy.
  • Commit to travel requirements ranging from 25 to 75 percent based on location and team.

Nice to have

  • Experience with programming, scripting, or statistical packages such as Python, R, Matlab, or SQL.
