About this role

Managing live productions and building the platform those shows run on takes up an equal split of time in this role. The Broadcast Engineer will own the technical foundation of how Harvey captures, routes, and delivers video and audio, including studio and control room infrastructure, the IP signal fabric connecting spaces, and live execution of high-visibility events. Harvey is building an in-house media production capability for critical internal shows, transitioning away from a mix of well-run events and vendor-dependent infrastructure toward systems the team designs, understands, and scales.

The person in this role will partner closely with Corporate IT, Workplace, Brand, and Communications. Success requires someone who is equally credible in a rack room designing a Dante domain and in a headset calling a hybrid all-hands with the CEO on camera. The company values decisiveness, simplicity, and a strong drive to build.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain Harvey’s video and audio infrastructure while owning the standards, documentation, and configuration records behind it.
  • Architect and administer audio-over-IP and video-over-IP transport including Dante audio networks and NDI video workflows.
  • Own technical execution for high-visibility productions such as all-hands, executive broadcasts, customer events, and launches.
  • Establish and maintain color and audio standards across the production chain including camera matching, shading, and monitor calibration.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex signal-flow, network, sync, and device faults under live conditions.
  • Evaluate and integrate new production systems while managing integrators, rental partners, and vendors.

What you need

  • Seven plus years of hands-on broadcast, live production, or high-end corporate production engineering experience.
  • Deep command of video and audio signal flow covering SDI, HDMI, embedding, sync, genlock, and fault isolation.
  • Production experience with Dante audio networking and NDI video workflows grounded in networking fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of color science applied to production including color spaces, log formats, and LUT creation.
  • Proven ability to run technical execution for live, high-stakes events with structured incident response.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills including system drawings, runbooks, and explaining constraints without jargon.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing or commissioning a studio, control room, or broadcast facility from empty space through first show.
  • Depth with production switchers, digital audio consoles, DSP platforms like Q-SYS and Yamaha, intercom systems, and camera control systems.
  • Zoom Room and Neatpad provisioning, operation, and maintenance.
  • Streaming and distribution experience including encoding, transcoding, CDN delivery, and multi-destination distribution.
  • Certifications such as Dante Certification Level 3, Q-SYS Level 1 or 2, AVIXA CTS, or relevant networking credentials.
