Role Overview

Coram AI is hiring a Backend Engineer to join its engineering team in Bengaluru for a full-time, onsite position. This role suits a technical professional who wants to design core backend services and scale data flows within an ambitious, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement robust APIs, databases, and data pipelines to support system operations.
Scale systems to handle growing traffic volumes, ensure complete observability, and reduce operational costs.
Take complete end-to-end responsibility for delivering features, maintaining strong service level agreements, and resolving technical issues.
Collaborate closely with the broader front-end, edge-computing, and machine learning teams.
Work effectively in an onsite setup and communicate with distributed team members across various time zones.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience building systems of reasonable scale.
Familiarity and working experience with Go or Python.
Background in designing, implementing, debugging, scaling, and optimizing APIs, databases, and pipelines for multi-terabyte scale traffic.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work onsite in Bengaluru.

Nice to Have

Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi and AWS.
Monitoring experience using Grafana.
Familiarity with authentication platforms like Auth0.
