Role Overview

The Information Systems division at Lambda is tasked with constructing and expanding internal infrastructure that drives business operations. This position centers on engineering software and services that elevate the availability, efficiency, and reliability of internal IT platforms. The professional in this role will collaborate across departments like Finance, Engineering, and People to implement solutions, secure data flow, and automate operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver software solutions to enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of internal IT systems.
Build automation tools to handle non-exceptional events and prevent recurring issues in mission-critical services.
Partner with internal engineering teams to influence architectural designs, methods, and standards for distributed systems.
Manage capacity planning, software performance analysis, demand forecasting, and system tuning.
Produce comprehensive documentation and artifacts for owned systems and architectures.

Requirements

Strong interest in system design, performance architecture, and scalability across multiple cloud infrastructure platforms.
Deep understanding of system behaviors, edge cases, failure modes, and implementation specifics.
Proficiency with configuration management systems and toolchains such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, Ansible, or Chef.
Solid programming capabilities in languages like Python and Go.
Strong asynchronous communication skills combined with a commitment to documenting technical solutions.
Proactive mindset with a drive for rapid delivery, quick iteration, and immediate problem resolution.

Practical background or interest in machine learning and artificial intelligence compute workloads.
Experience establishing and managing on-call scheduling, alerting, and paging workflows.
