About this role

vCluster Labs is hiring an AI Infrastructure Engineer to manage pre-sale technical deployments and customer success globally on a remote basis. This position suits an experienced infrastructure specialist with deep Kubernetes and GPU expertise looking to build modern AI platforms.

Role Overview

The AI Infrastructure Specialist works directly with customers during the initial pre-sale proof of value stage. The professional helps neoclouds and AI Factories move from bare metal GPU nodes to production-ready deployments. The individual acts as a technical bridge between customers, sales, and internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Drive end-to-end technical deployments for GPU neocloud and AI Factory customers, starting from bare metal configuration to a validated vCluster environment.
Configure and troubleshoot bare metal GPU node infrastructure, including CNI configuration, GPU Operator setup, distributed storage backends, and RDMA/InfiniBand.
Deploy and validate Kubernetes and vCluster to provide GPU-powered managed Kubernetes services.
Collaborate alongside customer teams to build self-sufficiency for independent platform operation and growth.
Document reusable playbooks and deployment architectures to scale processes for future customers and team members.
Coordinate with Engineering and Product teams to channel field infrastructure challenges into the product roadmap.
Partner with Sales during pre-sale phases requiring deep infrastructure execution to achieve successful proof of value.

Requirements

Five or more years of experience deploying and operating Kubernetes in production environments, particularly on bare metal or high-complexity infrastructure.
Practical knowledge of NVIDIA GPU Operators, CUDA tooling, and systems-level configuration for GPU nodes.
Deep understanding of CNI plugins, overlay networks, load balancing, and connectivity diagnosis in layered setups.
Hands-on experience with persistent volume configuration, CSI drivers, and distributed storage systems like Ceph, Rook, Weka, or Longhorn.
Ability to operate comfortably in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while creating real-time operational playbooks.
Preference for a modern technology stack that avoids legacy systems.

Nice to Have

Experience writing automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Go.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or experience developing Kubernetes Operators.
Familiarity with AI and machine learning tooling, including inference serving, GPU scheduling, and large language model deployment.
Experience building AI automation in documentation for shared knowledge bases.
