About this role

Role Overview

This remote position invites a dedicated professional to serve as an AI and Engineering Coach within a prominent upskilling platform for artificial intelligence adoption based in Germany. The selected individual acts as the primary daily point of contact for learners participating in the innovative AI for Project Engineering program, providing continuous guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities

Answer daily questions from learners regarding AI-assisted software development, common artificial intelligence architectures, MCP, and system integration.
Assist participants during sandbox exercises, hackathons, and client implementation projects to help unblock hurdles.
Conduct individual coaching sessions focused on debugging, code review basics, and test automation.
Provide support presence during digital workshops and hackathons.
Share feedback with the senior coach and learning team regarding where participants frequently experience difficulties.
Support the onboarding process for new team members.

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field, or solid practical experience without a degree.
One to three years of professional experience as a software developer or engineer at a junior to mid-level stage.
Practical experience using artificial intelligence coding copilots in real projects, with a secure understanding of their usage.
Working knowledge of core software engineering practices including testing, debugging, basic CI/CD, and Docker fundamentals.
High service orientation, empathy, patience, and clear communication skills.
Hands-on mindset, strong team spirit, resilience, and flexibility.
Very strong proficiency in both German and English at a minimum of C1 level.

Nice to Have

Initial touchpoints with LLM APIs, RAG, agent architectures, or MCP, including hobby or project levels.
Informal teaching, mentoring, pairing, or teaching assistant experience with less experienced developers.
Basic awareness of AI governance topics like the EU AI Act and Responsible AI.
Experience involving cloud deployment.
